About Us

Formed in 2023, the Long COVID Foundation's mission is to bring awareness to the public regarding Long COVID & pandemic related issues, advocate for better testing, trials, treatments, and mitigations for SARS-CoV-2 and Long COVID, and assist COVID Long Haulers to the best of our ability via actions in particular. We are big believers that COVID viral persistence and COVID antigen persistence should be a main focus of researchers and others. In order to regain health it's important to get to the root cause of an illness and treat it. SARS-CoV-2 is the only thing that leads to Long COVID and is still circulating reinfecting the population. Tens of millions of people have, or have had, Long COVID in the United States alone. We don't not want them to fall by the wayside like so many millions with unsolved unresolved chronic illness have in the decades prior to COVID. Enough is enough! We need better available testing and better treatments to eliminate these chronic pathogens, antigens, diseases, and illnesses so people can finally be healed. Assisting people to regain their health is our main goal. We understand the complexity and hurdles of that, but we will do what we can to help.

* Awareness:  There are many people who still do not know the term "Long COVID" or how life altering Long COVID can be. They're unaware of the damage it causes physically and otherwise. A big piece of bringing awareness will be our efforts with International Long COVID Awareness Day and Month. We have done a billboard campaign at Times Square to get the word out. We will stay active informing the general population and the medical community about the dangers of Long COVID.

* Advocacy:  We advocate for better tests, trials, treatments, and mitigation. There is a plethora of research showing COVID can persist so we want to make sure that avenue is properly explored, and not ignored or placated like how often it has been with many chronic illnesses previously. The status quo won't do with Long COVID and we do not embrace it because it hasn't historically worked for people chronically ill.

* Action:  Action is where we see our largest contributions. We push for COVID mitigation, especially in hospitals, large public spaces, and schools. We work with the health agencies and other organizations to assist with actions during International Long COVID Awareness Day and Month. We've aided in funding biomarker research. We look to take action where we can and spur action in others to help those with Long COVID.
