Advocacy
We see our advocacy bolstered by actions while we work to educate and push for support for people suffering from Long COVID. Raising awareness is additionally important to us, as so many aren't informed on the hell that SARS-CoV-2 can cause in the form of Long COVID. We provide support to COVID long haulers in the ways we are able, but our main goals are to get biomarkers and tests, have common sense well structured clinical trials, and push for antivirals and drugs development for the treatment of acute and persistent SARS-CoV-2 and Long COVID. Real solutions are necessary so that people with Long COVID can improve, recover, and get back to life. Anything less is unacceptable!
Some main areas of focus:
* Biomarker validation so long haulers can have an approved test for Long COVID (currently no approved biomarkers or tests)
* Common sense well structured clinical trials, supporting in design and advocating the government and health agencies for better trials
* Antiviral and drug development for the treatment of SARS-CoV-2 and Long COVID
* Clean air and SARS-CoV-2 mitigation through campaigns and education
* Support of International Long COVID Awareness Day (3/15) and Month (March) organized by International Long COVID Awareness
* Pushing the government and health agencies to provide the Long COVID community with social support
* Directly educate schools, medical professionals, and others on Long COVID and push for them to take SARS-CoV-2 mitigation seriously
